   Over 25 years ago, Ron Chaffin began taking his son Jayson Go-Kart racing. And now, Ron owns one of the most well known engine shops in the Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana area. He has built engines that have won at the local and regional level, and they are only getting better.

     The Chaffin Racing Engines shop is based in Port Clinton Ohio, and unlike most engine builders, Ron is at the shop from 9am-5pm Monday through Thursday, and usually spends most of the night working on customers engines. Why are Chaffin's motors outperforming their competitors? The reason is not how they are put together, but long before that. Ron spends hours in his downtime testing new products on his in house dyno. Items such as cams, oils, and new carb configurations. He also flows all his own carburetors on his state-of-the-art flow bench to achieve maximum horsepower out of stock engines, as well as modified engines.  The best part, they are all guaranteed to pass WKA tech because all parts that are put into a Chaffin Racing Engine are checked to be legal because of manufacturing imperfections. This also ensures that your Chaffin Engine will be as good as any of Ron's own engines.

     What makes Chaffin Racing Engines stand out the most at the track? Customer support. If anything goes wrong with your engine at the track and Ron or Jayson is there, they will be more than willing to help out anyway they can. Whether it be changing a jet, or fine tuning your carb for changes in air density. They will do everything in their power to make power for you.

     The Chaffin team also supports BADger and Slack karts in the area. Even if they were not purchased from Chaffin himself. They are committed to making the BADger and Slack kart the fastest on the track at every race. Its just a bonus if it has a Chaffin Engine on it. They care more about making the sport fun for others than winning every race they enter. They do win a lot of races, but their customers beat them just as much.
